The Drapers Arms Christmas Feasting Menu 2014

Please choose two items from each course. All the food will be brought to the table on platters and served ‘family style’.

We require seven working days to guarantee your options. Vegetarians will be catered for from our a la carte menu on the day.

Starters
Chicory, Colston Bassett Stilton, hazelnuts & parsley
Raw & roast cauliflower, parsnip, yoghurt & pomegranate salad
Gin cured salmon, clementine & kohlrabi
Crab, celeriac & dill
Duck ham, walnuts & redcurrant jelly
Rabbit rillettes, toast & pickles
Roast pigeon, celery, almonds & pickled cherries
Main courses
All main courses will be served with bowls of hot buttered new potatoes & seasonal greens
Goose, apple stuffing & cider gravy
Glazed ham, red cabbage & cranberry chutney
Rare roast beef, oyster emulsion, watercress & gravy
Venison haunch, beetroot & horseradish
Market fish* , leeks, fennel, vermouth & cream
Suet crust turkey & chipolata pie
* this will be a whole white fish – whatever is best from the fish markets that morning – sole, plaice, brill, turbot.
